Management Accountant

We are currently working exclusively with an exciting business based in Accrington who are looking for a Management Accountant to join them as they continue their development plans.

The business is an SME organisation who are supported by a large European group, and they have been established in their field for over 30 years. With a reliable customer base and strong order book throughout 2023 this is an excellent chance to join a stable business.

Duties will include:-

• Manage the daily cashflow forecast and monitor the bank balances
• Produce all the accounts up to trail balance, including all reconciliations and P&L production
• Management of the stock system including intercompany movements, values and balances
• Responsible for the credit control and monitor flow of collections, providing controls around payments
• Responsible for the budgetary controls across the business for all internal expenditure
• Manage the fixed asset register, monitor depreciation and accurately record all the asset values
• Responsible for all intercompany re-charges
• Accruals/Prepayments

The successful candidate will most importantly be a team player and someone who can fit well in a close-knit business, they value their staff and have a very high retention. You will be experienced in all the month end reporting processes and ideally be knowledgeable with stock movements and all transactional reporting. The role is fantastic for someone who wants autonomy and yet have some development with further accountability once settled in the position.

Ideally the role would suit an AAT Technician, however someone with a solid background in monthly reporting would also be ideal.
