Finance Manager

The current Finance Director is taking on more of an MD role and is looking to delegate much of the responsibility of the accounts office to the incoming Finance Manager who will be the eventual successor. The position will interact with other departments in the business and requires someone who can provide financial reports to determine the financial position of the company along with analysis to aid decision making. The key responsibilities will be:

• Producing the monthly management accounts for two sites Support preparation of the annual budgets Stock valuation and movement reconciliation Balance sheet reconciliation for all sites Monthly summary of the payroll analysis Monitor debtor and creditor lists Check inter-company balances Report on work in progress and raw materials Maintain standard costing system Provide production reports on machine efficiency Maintain and support development of internal IT systems Provide information for the auditors at year end.

The position will involve supervising two staff to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and accurately, longer term you can expect to take full ownership of the finance function. The ideal candidate would have a strong Management Accounting background and be looking for a position where they can work closely with an experienced MD/FD who is keen to delegate. Previous experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment would be helpful but support and training can be available for an individual with the right attitude.
