Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET) is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer who will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of the Trust.
MKET was established in 2011 with the aim of creating a mutually beneficial partnership of local schools. By working together, we enhance and enrich the educational opportunities available to the children and young people in the Trust’s schools to enable them to achieve their very best. Nearly 4,000 students aged 4 to 19 attend MKET’s four schools.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer will work closely with the CEO and Headteachers of the Trust’s schools to advance strategic priorities.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the financial management and statutory reporting requirements of the Trust. They will lead the promotion and delivery of effective financial management and the smooth running of central services, whilst ensuring financial sustainability.
The successful candidate will have experience of:
- working effectively at a senior financial management level leading and managing budgets of £20m+ and producing and presenting management and statutory accounts engaging with external stakeholders, regulators, external auditors, internal auditors and banking managing competing priorities. driving standards and practices to meet and exceed quality requirements achieving value for money and have commercial awareness
