I am recruiting a Senior Finance Manager for a listed telecoms / software client. After a period of acquisitive activity and restructuring, our client is recruiting a newly formed position (Senior Finance Manager) to support the Group Financial Controller. On a day-to-day basis you will provide high quality financial accounting and management reporting support across the business. 

In parallel you will assist with a number of key finance transformation projects i.e., moving the financial infrastructure from a number of separate entities currently supported by a number of disparate systems to a single ERP platform. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce the end-to-end monthly management accounts for a number of subsidiary companies.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare variance analysis and commentary.
  • Create and post accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
  • Overseeing the processing of all transactional activity for the entities for which you have responsibility.
  • Bank reconciliations over multiple international bank accounts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the year-end audit file.
  • Supporting the implementation of a new ERP systems. Post implementation you will propose and then embed robust financial controls and reporting processes.
  • Support, develop and mentor junior team members. 

Candidate profile: 

  • A technically proficient qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE at Finance Manager / Management Accountant level.
  • Used to operating in a slightly chaotic / unstructured SME environment.
  • Hands on approach; evidence of your competence of operating at a transactional accounting level.
  • Strong with systems (GL / ERP) / manipulating data (Excel).
  • Strong track record of owning problems and solving them.
  • Flexible, resilient, reliable, positive.
  • Team player.
  • Transparent, strong communicator. 
  • Availability: One month or less notice period from current employer.

Hybrid working pattern: Working remotely, with 2 number of days per week in the office
