SF has been retained to partner with an exciting private equity back Engineering organisation to add a Head of Finance & Reporting into the Team. The role will work closely with the Finance Director and the wider leadership team to drive performance and continued growth.

As the Head of Finance & Reporting will lead and manage all elements of financial control including defining best practice, consolidation of annual statutory accounts and ownership of all associated regulatory and compliance issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and develop a multi skilled finance team across accounting and tax, treasury, payroll, and credit control.
Building and maintaining robust financial processes, systems, and controls to effectively manage financial performance.
Ownership of the month end close activities in line with group timetables.
Consolidation of monthly balance sheet and cash flow statements.
Working closely with the Group FP&A Manager to maintain a rolling balance sheet forecast ensuring roll up into the annual budgeting process.
Primary contact for annual audit process and all statutory reporting requirements across UK and US GAAP.
Lead on international tax, treasury, transfer pricing and global accounting policies and procedures, ensuring local compliance is communicated and understood at a group level.
Managing day to day external relationships for banking, advisors, HMRC and audit.
Ensuring the ERP system is understood and used in the same way across the multiple business areas to ensure consistency and robustness of the data.


Qualification/Experience

Must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with post qualification experience.
Experience of leading a team in financial, transaction and statutory reporting environment.
Proven experience in an audit environment, ideally across both UK and US GAAP, or in a Senior Financial Control role.
Prior experience in the finance function of an international organisation (ideally UK/US).
Hands on experience of an ERP Implementation Project
Previous M&A experience would be beneficial but not essential
