Financial Controller - Music

Music entertainment company - Record Label, Live event promotion, Artist Management, Brand Partnerships and a Music Studios are looking for a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Financial Controller to be responsible for the finances & fundraising. You will be responsible for the company's financial health and growth of the business. This is a role for a proactive, creative and ambitious individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares timely and detailed reports on financial performance/variance analysis and profitability analysis per show, etc. on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Builds and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual budget/forecasts.
  • Handles external audit/s and manages the implementation of internal financial controls, processes and procedures
  • Handles day to day bookkeeping and meets deadlines
  • Oversees, undertakes and reviews accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes (VAT, Film Tax Credits, Withholding tax, Corporation tax, where applicable), compliance and risk management.
  • Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems
  • Presents financial reports to executives, board members, investors, group accounting, and other stakeholders.
  • Helps to develop strategies to increase return on investment and profitability and collaborates with the executives and directors to create budgets and track key performance indicators.
  • Assists with all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Assists with setting up and overseeing the company's finance IT system

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree educated and ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified
  • Proven experience as a controller or director of finance or similar role
  • Bachelor's in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related major is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
  • Previous experience of working in the Music industry.
