AAT Qualified Management Accountant | Leeds Region  | £28,000 - £35,000 + benefits including study support package

The Opportunity 

If you are ambitious and have recently completed AAT and are looking to qualify CIMA (or ACCA) we would love to speak!

You’ll be joining an owner-managed group that has experienced significant growth over the past 3 years.  Your role reports to the Head of Finance who is on hand to provide support and encouragement alongside structured career development.

You’ll have chance to take ownership of full management accounts prep – initially for a key subsidiary before taking hold of the full group accounts pack.  There’s lots of added value analysis and reporting – variance analysis, profit and revenue stream reviews, margin reporting, tracking of product performance, sales and promotions etc…

You’ll also support the HoF with budgeting, cashflows, sales forecasting and year end statutory accounts prep.

It is a superb opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in parallel to completion of CIMA or ACCA.

This is a down to earth, professional and ambitious SME.  You need to be extremely comfortable discussing financial info with a non financial audience (e.g the sales teams, marketing, warehouse and operations etc).

You’ll be someone who loves variety and someone able to manage project work alongside routine reporting and deadlines.

You’ll also be someone who prefers an agile SME (circa 75 employees) versus a large corporate setting.

You need:

• AAT or an accounting and finance degree.
• Confidence you will qualify CIMA or equivalent in the next 2-3 years.
• Great Excel skills.
• Previous experience of management accounts prep, analysis and reporting.
• Approachable interpersonal skills. 
• Confidence in your ability to add value in a professional, growing and down to earth SME in Yorkshire.
