Out Client is an international tech. and professional services business that works with governments, cities, and sports bodies on major sport programmes and events, helping to maximise the health and social benefits derived from physical activity.
Role
The Group Financial Controller will have ownership for the day-to-day international finance operations of the Group, acting as a proactive business partner to senior leaders whilst driving enhancements across Finance.
- Supporting and developing a first-class finance department, leading, and coordinating all day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Working closely with Heads of Departments to support clear reporting and financial objectives. Coordinating the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Managing weekly cashflow forecasts. Leading the consolidation process including inter-company reconciliations. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. Leading month-end and year-end close process under rigid timelines. Leading annual audit, collaborating with external accountants and auditors. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, supporting one member of the team. Managing external relationships, accountants, auditors, bank.
Experience/Qualifications
The role may suit Candidates who already have Financial Controller experience, or Candidates stepping up into the position.
The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with previous experience of financial leadership working in a dynamic environment:
- Technically strong (IFRS), ideally with some experience of reporting in a listed environment. Possess strong financial control experience and be capable of driving consistency and improvements in reporting. Experienced in transactional, financial and management accounting. Be a commercial-minded finance business partner. Be a strong leader and people manager. SAP experience is helpful, not essential; strong Excel is essential. Excited by the idea of being a hands-on team player in a small team, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
