Site Accountant

Harrogate
My client is a leading manufacturing business and currently has an opportunity for a Site Accountant to join one of their manufacturing finance teams, based in Harrogate.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments and adjustment journals
- Ensuring the application of operational and financial controls, for example balance sheet reconciliation preparation
- Conducting analysis and processing activities in line with role requirements
- Managing the weekly performance reporting process for Manufacturing sites, working closely with site finance teams
- Preparing period end management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, in line with role requirements
- Analysing and understanding variances between weekly and periodic financial reporting with a view to minimising any differences
Skills & Experience needed
- Is a qualified Accountant (CIMA /ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Has experience of working either in practice or a large and fast paced organisation.
- Possesses knowledge of financial accounting.
- Demonstrates excellent written communication and planning skills
- Has proficient analytical and numerical skills.
- Has previous experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Displays excellent attention to detail.
- Has the ability to build good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
- Is a self-motivated individual with experience of delivering to deadlines.
