This is a unique opportunity my client as a Strategic Finance Analyst to support the growth and transformation of this internationally renowned business. You will be responsible for generating executive level insights by applying a financial lens to commercial opportunities and being a thought partner to key stakeholders across the company to assess strategic initiatives.

The client is a section of an impressive FTSE 100 listed business, this section of the business performed really well over Covid and is now having large levels of investment.

Description

Reporting to the Strategic Finance Director, the new Strategic Finance Analyst will:

  • Prepare robust financial models and data driven analytical tools to evaluate business initiatives including acquisitions, new market entry and new product offerings.
  • Prepare business cases for portfolio and corporate acquisitions and develop post-deal integration plans.
  • Work closely with Strategy colleagues to facilitate long range planning cycles (e. 3 year plan) which align the business strategy with financial plans.
  • Work closely with FP&A, business stakeholders and finance business partners with the annual planning cycle process to enable delivery of high-quality accurate forecasting incorporating commercial value drivers.
  • Assess medium and long-range business risks. This will include understanding current threats and opportunities, quantifying potential impacts on the business and working with operational stakeholders to create risk management plans.
  • Build internal customer network to ensure co-design and alignment with organisational requirements.

Profile

The successful Strategic Finance Analyst will have:

  • Experience of developing driver based financial models, with a well-developed understanding of financial statements, scenario planning and risk assessment.
  • A high level of numerical and analytical capability with a strong eye for detail.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth, technology focused organisation.
  • An interest in driving finance planning solutions (i. TM1 or Adaptive) and passionate about data needing to be both accurate and of a high quality to make better decisions.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to drive improvements based on data analysis and evidence-based learning.
  • Ability to handle and communicate information sensitively and professionally.
  • Openness and drive to continuously develop own expertise and behaviours, and support others to do so.
  • Act as positive role-model for the organisation's culture and values across the group and with interactions across the company, and externally.
  • Good influencing skills and stakeholder management, including negotiation, persuasion, motivation and conflict resolution.
  • Operates with transparency in such a way that it is easy for others to see why decisions are made and what actions are performed.
  • Technical and commercial awareness of industry and developments.

A Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) would be useful but is not essential to success in this role.

Job Offer

On offer for the successful candidate is a salary of between £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience along with:
