Our client is a prestigious, niche, retail business backed by private equity investors.  Whilst the business is still relatively small, it benefits from a loyal international customer base and a well-deserved highly regarded reputation for the quality and technology behind the product base.  The business operates via a multi-channel distribution model, with particular strength in online, and is set for significant growth over the next few years.  The management team are looking to hire a CFO to partner them on the imminent value creation and growth journey.

 Key responsibilities

  • Overall management of the finance function
  • Ensure all processes, systems and controls are appropriate for the business
  • Manage the relationship with the investors, banks, auditors and other relevant third parties
  • Be experienced with working in a scale up/growth environment and the challenges that presents
  • Manage FX exposure and the challenges of currency fluctuations that accompany an international business
  • Ideally have some experience of manufacturing as this is currently done in-house rather than outsourced
  • Have strong commercial and analytical skills as drilling down in to product margins and costs is important to facilitate bottom line growth

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, articulate and experienced retail CFO.  Ideal candidates will be excited by the opportunity to join a relatively young but ambitious business and assist in both strategic growth and direction as well as being able and willing to roll up their sleeves and get in to the day to day detail of running a strong finance function.
