Financial / Group Accountant - Private Equity Real Estate - OUR CLIENT is the successful private equity property company who are well known and established name with a solid track record in the development and trading of both commercial and residential property and who also operate and manage real estate funds. They are now seeking a Financial Accountant to join their Head Office Real Estate finance team.

 

THE ROLE will support the Finance heads as a Financial Accountant and will assume the following key areas:

 

  • Responsible for most aspects of the accounting and reporting of several UK groups.
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual management accounts including group consolidations.
  • Preparation of year end statutory financial statements.
  • Management of the year end audits.
  • Control and review of tax and VAT filings for the various groups/entities.
  • Management of one staff member.

 

THE PERSON: You will be an experienced, qualified chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA preferred) with a proven track record of dealing with corporate, group and financial matters. You will be able to 'own' all aspects of the role and be a resourceful, self-starter who can self-manage whilst being prepared to roll up your sleeves and have an eye for detail, as well as being an independent thinker. You will be technically strong, able to produce financial and quarterly management accounts with experience of liaising with VAT and HMRC. Additionally, you should have a good investigative mind with sound presentation and communication skills and be totally conversant with Excel. Previous Real estate / property experience is preferred. The company operates a hybrid working policy.
