A global advisory firm with offices in the UK and US is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team based in London. You will play an essential part in ensuring the smooth running of the finance department and ideally have experience working in a professional services company. The firm is growing at a healthy rate of 15% per annum offering strong long-term career prospects for the right individual.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Management Accountant your main responsibilities will include the following:
  • Complete month and year end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Complete bank reconciliations and monitor cash levels in the UK
  • Manage the UK fixed asset register and capital expenditure budgets
  • With the help of advisors, file UK taxes and other light co-sec responsibilities
  • Process billing globally and manage credit control
  • Manage UK payroll (outsourced to an external provider) and file P11ds/PSA on time
  • Manage purchases and make supplier payments
  • Conduct UK credit card reconciliations
  • Assist Finance Director and US Finance Manager with the global annual audit
  • Assist Finance Director with bi-annual budgeting process
  • Manage employee expenses, with support from members of the Operations team
  • Participate in a project to transition to a new accounting system
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA or qualified by experience
  • Excellent Excel skills (including Google Sheets)
  • Strong experience in month and year end
  • Prior experience with Quickbooks is beneficial
  • Experience managing accounts receivable/payable
  • Calm in the face of complex or ambiguous situations and an ability to be flexible according to business needs
  • Ability to operate with professionalism, discretion, and handle sensitive information with care
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial spirit to spot opportunities for improvement
  • A highly motivated team member who values collaboration across the whole business
  • Willing to step-in with a range of different tasks as well as providing cover for the FD or US Finance Manager
