Senior Finance Assistant

SF Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant to work for a fantastic service business based in the south Birmingham area. This large multinational is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) who's main duties will include:

- Assist the Finance Manger prepare the month end group reporting schedules.
- Complete intercompany reporting for the UK & Ireland.
- Assist the Finance Manager update and maintain the IFRS 16 database.
- Liaise with several key individuals in group finance to agree/obtain key information
- Communicate when required with many key stakeholders within the UK business to ensure all aspects of the accounts are complete.
- Liaise with and prepare detailed information for external auditors.
- Continuously review processes ensuring they are as efficient as possible
- Able to analyse and interpret large data sets from multiple sources in differing formats
- Assist the Finance Manager with the management and training of junior colleagues on specific activities such as balance sheet reporting. Provide constructive feedback for them to action.
- Prepare and number of central balance sheet reconciliations monthly and present findings in review meetings.
- Help other areas of the team during busy periods.
- Preparing ad-hoc reports analysis for internal and external stakeholders
- Keep up to date with current changes to international accounting standards to ensure accurate reporting within key financial statements and assist Finance Manager in providing technical support
to sector colleagues on a wide range of accounting matters
