Excellent permanent Group FC role in exciting, fast-growth PE-backed medical company. Strong chance to progress to the number 1 in finance within 2-3 years.

The Financial Controller will report to CFO and leverage and closely work together with the team. The main activities will be ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial administration and preparing the (monthly) reporting.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely month- and year-end reporting.

• Review of general ledger of the various entities, together with the administrative team

• Further develop financial reports and reporting dashboards

• Ensure filing and compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements

• Support the CFO in various strategic and business analysis

Experience required:

• Background in working in an audit firm (preferable big 5) and / or 3 to 6 years of experience as a financial controller.

• Fully experienced in bookkeeping, month end closing, reporting, costs analysis etc.

• Good Knowledge on all relevant aspects of tax and legal

• Good Knowledge on applicable accounting standards (knowledge on IFRS is preferable)

• Knowledge on dentistry market would be ideal

• Knowledge on BI / Data aspects and general IT elements

• Excellent Excel skills

Duties:

  • Overseeing employee and self-employed payroll
  • Approving supplier payment runs
  • Reviewing financial controls and processes and implement improvements
  • Ensure full balance sheet reconciliation on monthly basis
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, under both UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Acquisition accounting for both share and asset acquisitions, ensuring appropriate allocation of intangibles
  • Preparation of completion accounts following acquisition
  • Lead the financial integration of new acquisitions
  • Lead implementation of new finance systems
  • Working alongside outsourced team based in India
  • Manage and motivate UK team of 4 individuals currently, and work with CFO to create optimal structure between UK and India teams

Multi-site experience is essential (minimum 15 sites), previous FC experience required, acquisition and IFRS experience highly desirable along with experience of systems implementation
