Finance Analyst - Accounting and Controls

Our client is looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to provide and facilitate accurate and complete Group financial reporting information

Description

The role will entail but will not be exclusive to:

- Support the delivery of the finance calendar by ensuring the integrity of information and that reporting is based on complete and accurate information

- Prepare, analyse and explain the monthly reconciliation of the management accounts P&L to both the GL and consolidated balance sheet

- Responsible for the monthly and annual global balance sheet reconciliation processes, including the animation of internal training. Assist with the ongoing project to implement balance sheet reconciliation software

- Prepare, analyse and explain the calculation to eliminate profit in stock

- Provide financial support and ad hoc analysis across the Group

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive the implementation of these with input and authorisation from finance leaders where appropriate

- Contribute to the wider Group Finance team in line with company values

- Support the delivery of major internal Group projects and their integration into business as usual

Profile

The successful candidate requires as a minimum:

- Strong financial and analytical skills

- Experience working in an Internal Control or Financial Accounting & Reporting role

- Comfortable engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders

- Ability to adhere to deadlines and adopt a challenging approach to deliver robust, accurate financial data and information to meet business needs

- Self-starter who can work on their own initiative

- Good planning and organisational skills

- Attention to detail and 'right first time mentality'

- Accountancy qualification or part qualified (or QBE)
