Axon Moore are partnering with a well-established business in Ashton-Under-Lyne, who are looking to appoint a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk into the accounts team for a 6-8 week period. The role is based in the town centre with excellent transport links.
The company are looking to help with the purchase ledger invoices through a busy period of volume and a system implementation. This role supports the team of clerk, reporting into the Purchase Ledger Manager.
Salary – £25,000 - £28,000 DOE per annum based on an hourly rate. Hybrid working, min 3 days in the office – they can be flexible on hours worked (usual 9-5 with 1hr lunch)

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean purchase ledger
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements to the ledger supplier invoices with a high level of accuracy
- Resolve supplier queries and invoicing errors in a timely manner
- Other ad-hoc accounting duties as required
- Experience in a Purchase Ledger role or similar accounting position
- Experience with Sage 200 accounting software would be an advantage
- A strong work ethic - proactive in your work, showing initiative
- Team player, positive attitude and happy to help the wider team where needed
- Good attention to detail and able to work to a fast pace where necessary
