Management Accountant required to join a not-for-profit organisation on a full time permanent basis. My client is looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual who is an experienced Management Accountant to join their dynamic and fast moving finance function.

As the Management Accountant you will report to the Financial Accountant and assist in the management and control of the organisations financial position, alongside the other duties below;

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant

  • Manage the general ledger systems
  • Produce and issue monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation of the consolidated annual financial statements
  • Ensure that subsidiary companies maintain adequate accounting records
  • Provide reconciliations of major items of income and expenditure and payroll data
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as required

Required skills and experience of the Management Accountant

  • CCAB recognised qualification e. ACCA or QBE
  • Knowledge of financial reporting in the public sector
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting and complex budgeting
  • Experience of accounts and tax returns
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong IT skills including Excel
