FINANCE & AUDIT MANAGER - GOVERNMENT AGENCY - PERMANENT ROLE
Client Details
My client is an independent oversight body, backed by the UK Government, that is well-known and highly regarded. They are looking for an experienced Finance and Audit Manager to join their finance team.
Description
- Lead the effective management of finance and internal controls, including risk management and internal/ external audit functions
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation to maintain oversight and efficient reporting
- Oversee the external and internal audit of the statutory accounts, as well as develop the annual internal audit plan
- Work directly with the CFO to manage the audit and risk assessment throughout the year
- Liaise across the organisation to ensure the annual Management Assurance Report is completed on time and efficiently
- make decisions, and interpret relevant financial regulations where necessary.
Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in audit (internal/external) and risk management processes, including all statutory requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
