Financial Accountant role responsible for day to day operations of various finance functions within the finance department. Taking lead on all aspects of the department's work, providing technical advice and support to the team and to internal clients as a senior member of finance team, and to support the Financial Controller and Finance Director in their roles.

Description
- Responsible for the preparation of month-end balance sheet file and ensuring a complete set of reconciliations has been produced.
- To ensure the accuracy and timeliness of workflow through communication and management of weekly, monthly, and annual work schedules, including monitoring and control of the period end, and preparation of the future financial calendar timetable.
- Responsible for the safeguard of the physical cash in the cash office. This involves responsibility for cash office security, ensuring that rigorous procedures around accounting are maintained.
- Responsible for reconciling the credit card and reviewing the daily reconciliations prepared by the Finance Officers.
- Prepare the corporation tax workings needed to calculate the gift aid payments required between the National Theatre entities.
- You will be the second point of contact for the audit team, ensuring that the interim and year end audits run smoothly.
- You will be deputising for Financial Controller in their absence, taking responsibility for any queries arising from the transactions processing areas.
- You will be the direct point of contact with the Bank for AP and AR queries, ensuring the bank mandate and bank access for users is appropriate and up to date.
Profile
- Fully qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, CCAB with a working knowledge of current UK GAAP
- Experience with SUN, Sharperlight and Proactis would be desirable.
- Experience of managing or developing staff is desirable.
- Experience handling VAT process and other charity related technical issues
