The Opportunity

Are you recently AAT qualified or very close to completion? Are you looking for a varied role in a modern growing business that can offer you development and progression??

You’ll be joining an award-winning business with a superb track record and excellent market position.

You’ll be supporting the Financial Controller with month end and management accounts preparation - there is major opportunity to take responsibility for shaping and owning the management reporting for smaller subsidiaries whilst also being involved in the more complex group numbers / MI.

You’ll be hands on and not afraid of getting stuck into some areas of transactional finance (reconciliations etc) but there is plenty of project exposure alongside the business as usual (for example being involved in new systems / IT solutions / automations) and also projects around development of the commercial analysis and MI (sales, margin and profitability analysis, dashboard reporting, variance analysis, forecasts etc).

It would suit someone who has recently boxed off AAT and gained a solid core baseline of accounting skills / principles alongside their studies. You are likely in an Assistant Accountant role currently but looking for a new challenge in a forward-thinking, growing and supportive group.

You need:

• AAT (or a relevant accounting degree) with an appetite to progress through further studies (CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience of accounting and finance / month end tasks.
• Exposure to a modern-thinking manufacturing or production setting would be useful.

• A hands on approach and no fear of getting stuck into the nitty gritty to ensure numbers are accurate and processes are streamlined.
