Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting the team with 1-2 direct reports initially, deputising for the Financial Controller as required and overseeing a broad range of accounting tasks undertaken by the wider finance team.
Key accountabilities will include:
· Preparation of the monthly management accounts with variance analysis & commentary
· Business partnering with various business units and stakeholders within the parent company- Involvement in commercial projects to facilitate improved business performance
· Review of company accounts and working with external auditors to complete and file in a timely manner
· Assisting with preparation of year end financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards
· Overseeing the intercompany matrix and related party transactions· Involvement in improving day-to-day accounting procedures and controls· Assisting with VAT reporting, Intrastats, EC Sales, CT return and payroll reporting
Profile
The role offers a diverse and exciting prospect to lead a team with a mixture of levels of qualification and the opportunity to progress within the business in the medium to longer term.

- Qualified accountant
- Aspirations & capability to lead others
- Interested in gaining exposure to commercial tasks / ad-hoc projects alongside financial accounting
- Confident in presenting technical information to a variety of stakeholders, including non-financial professionals and colleagues at all levels in an engaging manner
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Multi-currency experience preferred
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Team player
- Energetic self-starter with a proactive approach
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the big picture
Job Offer
In return for your commitment, dedication and contribution to making a fantastic team even better, you will receive an attractive salary in the £55,000-£60,000 range depending on experience, in addition to an extensive range of benefits including private healthcare, matched pension contributions up to 8%, product discounts and much more.
