An Interim Finance Manager role for an international Supply and Distribution business in Manchester.

A market leading and international supply and distribution business in Manchester.

Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and managing two staff, your role will focus on high quality reporting and analysis of a number of countries and legal entities. This will include: Managing the financial accounting and reporting activities for the month end and year end, including statutory reporting packs. Working with the wider finance team to ensure all bookkeeping and accounting meets regulatory and accounting standards and best practice at both IFRS and Local GAAP levels. Consolidation of all financial reporting files from the site finance leads, incorporating into the monthly board pack. Providing consolidated commentary to be including in the board packs. Quarterly forecasts and budgets. Managing a team of two staff and driving internal KPIs. Ownership of the controls within the finance systems and being a key part of the team leading any system requirements. Identifying and implementing process and efficiency improvements within the finance department and utilising the system to its fullest potential. Full ownership of the balance sheet controls for the European entities, including monthly and periodic reviews of the balance sheet, ensuring that all reconciliations have been updated and completed to "best in class" standards. Delivering any training or support needs to the wider finance team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified accountant with a high degree of focus on financial reporting, control and compliance. An audit background would be advantageous. You will need to have staff management experience, with proven track record of managing and developing small teams. You will be confident, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate. Experience of working within a large and complex business or group. Teamwork is essential in this role, as you will need to work closely with the wider finance team to hit required deadlines, and also IT to support the finance teams system requirement. The position requires someone who is highly computer literate, with excellent Excel skills and ideally previous exposure to large ERP systems.
