**Start before Christmas**
Interim Financial Planning & Analysis Manager required for my service based client in Coventry. Directly reporting into the Finance Director; this role will be responsible for:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Management Accounting team and Reporting Analyst, and lead, develop and coach direct reports to build a high performing team and create a pipeline of talent
- Production of the consolidated Management Accounts reporting
- Lead the budget and forecast process, including responsibility for the balance sheet forecast
- Support the development of reporting on key cost areas with other functional areas e.g. procurement & payroll based on what is required to support operational decision making
- Lead the creation of a 'Cash culture' within the operations management team to support the Accounting team in maintaining a low NWC, by supporting them with training and in developing their initiatives to help support the overall business
- Proactively identifying "weak signals" and leading indicators that may result in budget variances and liaise with key stakeholders, as appropriate
- Responsible for the development of the budgeting and forecast tool
- Be a key contact to the Business development department in reviewing estimates and supporting with investment appraisal analysis
- Lead the implementation of all BI tools (lars and Cognos BI) for the business
- Coordinate and build relationships with internal and external suppliers of IT and bespoke applications to the Controlling department
- Co-ordinate all finance activities and procedures and identify any opportunities to promote common policies and practices
- Supports Operational Management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets by developing close working relationship with key operational managers
- Overall management and delivery of the controlling department budget
- Lead ad-hoc Controlling and business projects
Initially for three months, this is a fast paced business.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience working within a similar role. You will have a thorough understanding of Management Accounting principles, experienced with management of a team and improvement of finance processes.
