Commercial Finance Manager

Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting on a retained search for an industry leading organisation, currently investing for growth and a now looking for a new Commercial Finance Manager for the Birmingham office.

This is an exciting time to join an industry leading and award winning organisation. As they move into 2023 they are not only putting significant investment for growth in but they are also looking to create a 'Best in Class' commercial finance team. This position will be pivotal towards this.

Job Responsibilities - Commercial Finance Manager

• Lead the creation of budgets and forecasts for sales, customer allowances, cost of sales and distribution costs.
• Consolidate budgeted and forecasted information provided from various sources.
• Develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reductions, and other strategic business decisions. Provide analysis and insight to drive value for money in marketing and sales teams.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicator reports that cover all areas of the business, including sales, operations, marketing, buying, product development, CSR, and other functional areas.
• Deliver workload that supports accurate and timely financial data to drive margin growth and assess product and customer profitability.
• Ensure accurate sales reporting by channel, product, customer, and other reporting streams required by the business.
• Drive business improvement and be guardian of the integrity of the financial function.
• Deputise for the Head of Finance and other members of the Finance team as needed.
• Prepare reports and materials, and lead presentation of information to key stakeholders during regular meetings as required
• Provide relevant information for the preparation of cash flow and balance sheet forecasts.
• Work closely with Management to build a deep understanding of the business and deliver finance expertise.

Role Profile

• The successful candidate will ideally be a Qualified Accountant, CIMA, ACCA or ACA Trained
• Ability to work autonomously, challenge the status quo and drive strong financial performance
• Familiarity with or experience in influencing non-finance stakeholders
• Track record of process/efficiency improvements
