Controls Analyst (Operational Process Analyst) | City of London | £45,000.00 - £50,000.00 per annum
A rare opening with a leading international insurance business, to join their team as the new Controls Analyst. Develop and grow your Operational Risk and controls experience; this role offers the successful candidate the chance to further their finance career in the Insurance sector, working with and learning from the best.
The Role:
Due to continued growth and demands being placed on the business my client is seeking to hire a Controls Analyst to join the EMEA operations teams to own the controls and rick areas across the regions
Liaising with both UK and local European country managers you will be responsible for assessing 3rd party providers of services to the group being accountable for the ongoing implementation, embedding and execution of control frameworks for Europe in relation to corporate and operational governance, product and conduct risk, and customer experience strategies.
As the new Controls Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing existing procedures and controls, identifying gaps, creating an action plan to close gaps and overseeing implementation and embedding of improvements.
- Performing rolling reviews and rolling control audits of procedures and controls to ensure ongoing adherence to corporate policies. Preparing reports for management with findings and recommendations.
- Preparing Control reports for local and regional governance forums.
- Drafting and presenting monthly performance reporting packs to the regional management team and helping management to implement agreed mitigation plans.
About You:
Experience required:
- Demonstrable experience in operational and risk management controls.
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a team, ability to come to conclusions, defend position and influence others.
- Experience working in a matrix-style role across multiple country locations would be an advantage.
