Senior Accountant, Accounts and Audit Senior, Accounts Senior, Accounts and Tax Senior., £25,000 - £36,000

Your new company
This accounting firm, based in Cheltenham, has built a strong reputation in the area by serving a diverse range of clients, with a focus on OMB, SME limited companies with a wide range of sectors and turnover, up to and over the audit threshold in turnover, across a variety of industry sectors, charities, and professional services. The firm has a flat structure, which allows employees to gain increasing levels of responsibility in terms of customer contact and relationship management, as well as the diversity and scope of technical accounting tasks you will be exposed to.

Your new role
As a Senior Accountant, you will have a diverse role preparing accounts, corporate tax computations, management accounts, VAT, and other general practice services to a heterogeneous customer base of predominantly limited companies, OMBs and SMEs, partnerships, and sole traders. In addition, as a much lesser part of your responsibilities, you may be involved in audit with some of the firm's major clients, with clients headquartered nearby to Bristol. You will have the opportunity to advance and develop within the firm and role, with increased involvement and exposure to added value, project work, assisting partners on the research and delivery of a wide range of accounting and tax work, client contact, and the opportunity to further your technical career and skills.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 4 - 6 years of experience as a Senior Accountant in the accountancy practice sector, preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, and be looking for a challenging career move in the profession, where you can increase your client contact, responsibility, and progress in your career. Or you will be any of part/finalist/qualified ACA, ACCA qualified, or ATT qualified. Any audit experience would be advantageous, but a desire to participate and develop the skills for this, much smaller aspect of the function, might also be beneficial.

What you'll get in return
Circa £25,000 - £36,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable with benefits.
