An exciting new role has arisen in a large accountancy practice in Cheltenham for an Accounts Semi-Senior. Due to their excellent reputation in the market place and continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual to complement their successful and busy team.

Your new role
In your new role you will join a welcoming and high performing accounts team where you will be offered training from a very supportive team. You will be required to work with a portfolio of clients made up of sole traders, limited companies and partnerships with turnovers into the multi millions. You will be responsible for the sale and purchase invoicing, bank reconciliations and VAT returns as well as the statutory accounts and corporation tax.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed must have worked within an accountancy firm for at least 18 months recently and have experience preparing statutory accounts. You must possess the ability to work to deadlines and manage your own workload is essential and ideally you will be studying towards your AAT/ACA/ACCA. Your previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm will allow you to understand the importance of managing a varied workload with strict deadlines, all whilst developing your commercial acumen and ability to spot additional opportunities for the firm. You must also be a team player, supportive and friendly as well as possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
