Management Accountant

Management Accountant based just outside Birmingham city centre paying up to £45000 depending on experience.

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be supporting a family run FMCG and Retail business based just outside Birmingham city centre. The company are very niche and have a T/O of circa £200 million and work on a office based pattern 5 days per week.

Your new role
As Management Accountant you will join a busy team of 8 and be responsible for the main duties below:

Preparation and interpretation of Management Accounts - Including ownership of income statement and balance sheet analysis for subsidiaries:

• Stock reporting and accuracy
  • Reporting stock valuations to insurers
• Sales Ledger Daybook Analysis and Recharges
• Bank Reconciliations
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Fixed Asset Registers and Depreciation
• Quarterly Management Charge analysis, calculation, and recharge.
• Maintain Debt and Investment interest schedules, raising recharges and invoices to related parties where applicable
• Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts
  • Group and related party undertaking schedules
  • PAYE and NI
  • Pension Scheme
  • Petty Cash
  • Misc. Receipts

Other ad-hoc tasks in treasury and assisting with the audit will also be required.


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a part qualified or fully Qualified candidate who is happy to be office based. The company are looking for someone looking to build their career in a very interesting and diverse business which values loyalty and long service. Someone who has worked in accounts preparation in a smaller firm or industry experience could fit this role.

A generous basic salary upto £45000 depending on level and qualification, bonus, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and other benefits.
