FP&A Accountant, Crawley, Hybrid
Your new company
Our blue-chip client is looking to recruit a FP&A Accountant to report to the FP&A Manager.
Your new role
You will be supporting the FP&A Manager, in the preparation of the annual Financial Budget and Strategic Plan. You will be responsible for the preparation of in year financial forecasts, completion of budgetary and forecasting information, including clear explanation of variances to reported prior year performance and previous reported plans. Dealing with and resolving queries from internal and external stakeholders. Lead regular Monthly Budget Meetings with Directorate Accountants. Monitor working capital performance to financial plan and provide insight for future forecasts. Maintain and update the schedule of IFRS adjustments to the UK GAAP budget and forecast, working with relevant accountants in finance, services, treasury and income management. Responsibility for the calculation/ forecast of financial ratios relating to bank and pension covenants, working with treasury/ business planning to ensure compliance. Assist the FP&A Manager in the preparation of presentations for Executive Management & the Board relating to Budgets and Forecasts, and the communication of key messages. Provide budgetary and forecasting information to the Financing Reporting team and as may be required. Support the reporting of monthly financial performance, in particular in relation to cash flow performance, changes to budget and forecast and financial ratio outlook.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant with experience gained within FP&A/ budgeting/ forecasting, with knowledge of financial forecasting and financing modelling. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate and review data. You will also need knowledge of appropriate accounting standards, UK GAAP and IFRS. Extensive Excel skills along with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be liaising with key stakeholders.
What you'll get in return
This is a hybrid role 3 days in the office, 2 days remote, salary to £55,000 plus 5% bonus, generous pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
