Your new company
Our client, one of Lincolnshire's largest landowners with a diverse business involving property, farming, forestry, land development, renewable energy and sporting, is looking to recruit to the job of Management Accountant. following retirement. The role will be based in the picturesque grounds of the Estate close to Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.

Your new role
You will be a key member of the team responsible for running the accounts of a number of estate entities that together constitute the in-hand farming and renewable energy divisions. The role will provide you with a wide range of experience of different legal entities (Trusts/Partnerships/Sole Trades/Corporates), autonomy to get on with running your part of the accounts, opportunity to get involved in various estate community activities and give you a great sense of pride to be working in a close-knit team helping to ensure the success of a business that is such an integral part of the Lincolnshire landscape and the local community. The role is an 'end-to-end' accounting role that will involve all aspects of the company accounts from Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Banking, VAT, Stock, Fixed Assets, Month end reporting and Year end TB preparation. . The role will also include various smaller projects such as the administration of certain government / heritage grants to support the wider business and overseeing the wider business' energy contracts, with the opportunity to progress into full ownership of estate wide energy procurement.


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be fully qualified AAT with 3+ years' experience; or similarly qualified by experience and
have a working understanding of this business sector including fixed asset and stock accounting.
You will have a good knowledge of IT accounting systems and excel (although some training will be provided during the handover period). You must be an effective communicator, a strong team player and have the commitment to support colleagues and the business as a whole.
