Senior Finance Officer Leeds, Hybrid TEMP - 3months

Well, this could be a role for you! We are on a look out for a senior finance officer who can support a small team whilst assist with the annual reporting cycle, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for your area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing line management, oversight and direction of the small transaction processing team, including supporting their learning and career development and staff appraisal (conducting staff review and development scheme meetings)
• Approving transactions, including through financial systems, ensuring all appropriate approvals are in place in a timely manner
• Providing expert operational advice and training as required, liaising with staff and students and actively promoting best purchasing and financial practices within the Faculty.
• Managing purchasing processes, including Faculty's 'goods received not invoiced' items and retrospective purchase orders, liaising with the Purchasing team as necessary
• Preparing journals , including at month-end and year-end closedown, and carrying out account reviews at year end
