This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring tax advisor to build a mixed tax career within a supportive team environment.

Reporting directly to the Tax Manager, you will be a key team member from day one. Working closely with the dedicated senior team to deliver a range of tax compliance services, including maintaining personal tax records for worldwide information as transactions happen, for UK self-assessment tax returns and assisting with capital gains computations; preparation of income and expenditure information for a sole trader's tax return and for property rental income; maintaining EIS/SEIS relief tax records for investments qualifying under these venture capital schemes, preparing claim forms and tracking relief claims and withdrawals; preparation of VAT returns for 2 sole traders whose VAT information feeds into their tax returns; undertaking ad-hoc tax and investment related projects and research as required and reviewing Corporation Tax returns and computations prepared by the Finance team

Ideally you will be an individual who has attained or is currently studying for the ATT or CTA qualification and has a minimum of 18 months relevant experience, preferably in a Practice environment. You will be keen to progress your career in Tax and be seeking a varied, interesting role which offers the opportunity to expand your experience across a range of tax work. You will need to be confident, flexible and with excellent administration and communication skills (both written and verbal) along with the integrity, discretion and ability to deal with confidential information. Excellent IT skills are essential and you need to be someone who enjoys working both on their own or as part of a wider team.
