Our client is a successful and expanding independent Accountancy practice in Swansea, specialising in supporting owner-managed businesses. Due to expansion they are now looking for a Tax Manager/Tax Accountant to join the company and provide a range of corporate tax services (including trusts and estates, inheritance, capital gains and capital allowances) to clients.

About the role

This role would suit a qualified and professional candidate, looking to move into a more senior role. Reporting to the Senior Managers/Partners, the Tax Manager/Accountant will oversee the delivery of corporate tax compliance work and technical advisory support for businesses and their owners. This role is largely client facing so you will be expected to build and maintain relationships, representing their interests using your professional expertise and commercial acumen.

Key aspects of the role include:
* Managing the tax compliance processes to ensure tax returns are filed on a timely basis and clients are advised of tax payments;
* Reviewing corporation tax computations, returns and statutory accounts tax disclosures; trust tax returns and non-resident company returns;
* Preparing more complex corporation tax computations and returns;
* Dealing with tax enquiries, conducting technical research, monitoring chargeability on a weekly basis.

The ideal person

The ideal candidate will be ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified with corporate tax experience. They will have experience working in practice with exposure to owner-managed businesses, (preferably some experience of groups), managing tax compliance processes and a good general tax knowledge - understand the importance of managing a varied workload with strict deadlines, all whilst developing your commercial acumen. The position would suit an excellent communicator who wants results and is driven to succeed, who will take initiative and who is keen to progress in their role. The person should be professional and confident in liaising with established clients, colleagues and connections.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an accountancy practice renowned for the quality of their work and advice they offer their clients. A chance to join a welcoming and high performing team - a very stable team - and to manage a portfolio of established clients and work collaboratively with your colleagues in the wider tax team.
