Experienced accounts senior ACA ACCA AAT for growing dynamic accountancy firm in Wimborne
You will be working for a successful and forward-thinking firm of Chartered accountants and business advisers in Wimborne, Dorset. This is an exciting long-term opportunity for you to join their dynamic accounts team, reporting to the Accounts Manager, and you will be involved in a wide range of activities to help support and grow the firm.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Finalise working papers and financial statements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Provide technical assistance to members of staff in the accounting team.
- Identify & proactively communicate advisory points with clients.
- Keep up to date with any changes in accounting regulations and ensure clients are made aware of the impact of these.
- Mentor trainee members of the team.
- Assist the Accounts Manager & Director in the monitoring of outstanding client work and to ensure work is completed by the accounting team in a timely manner.
- Assisting clients with accounting software and other bookkeeping queries as required.
- Work with other team members to develop & implement improved processes and services.
Ideally you will have a professional accountancy qualification ( ACCA/ACA/MAAT) and at least 2 years' UK practice experience. you will have strong organisational and time management skills, a highly commercial approach and excellent verbal and written communications skills. If you have worked at Accounts Senior level before that would be perfect!
Ideally you will have a willingness to learn, be a proactive team player and excellent client and staff relationship skills. You will also need to have excellent IT skills ideally with knowledge of Microsoft products, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and IRIS.
