Your new company

This scale up general insurance business in Manchester has over performed since recently launching a new product to the market, and set to continue that growth with ambitious expansion plans over the next few years. The company has a collaborative and energetic working environment and with the growth plans are now looking to bring someone into a newly created, lead commercial finance role.

Your new job

In your new job you will support the Group FD and senior management team, you will manage the monthly forecasting process in addition to other analytical activities supporting commercial finance projects. In this role you will consistently look for ways to improve the forecasting of the different business units alongside adjust the various financial models based on the latest assumptions. You'll work autonomously in this role and as the business unit continues to expand, so will the scope of your role.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have an accounting background from completing your ACA, ACCA or CIMA accounting qualification, and importantly demonstrate strong Excel modelling capabilities to improve the management reporting function. Project management skills will come naturally to you as will communication skills to work with other commercial finance colleagues. You will be a natural business partner, and this will enable you to provide commercial finance insights to senior management and offer suggestions to improve business profitably through financial appraisals of upcoming projects.
