Interim Internal Controls Manager (UK SOX)

This is a Project based role implementing UK Sox into a Large Public Sector organiastion in Cardiff.

My client is a large Public Sector organisation based in Cardiff

Description

In 2025, due to Government changes certain businesses will need to comply with new UK SOX regulations.

My client, a large Public Sector organisation are getting ahead of the game and are looking to implement these new standards now.

We are looking to talk to CCAB qualified Accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) who has excellent Internal Controls experience and has either implemented SOX previously or has significant SOX experience.

The mains aspects of the role are hands on, working with process owners to create the Risk assessments and control matrix (RACM) along with the whole SOX process for the annual attestation.

You will create this process to roll out on an annual testing process.

The organisation are in the implementation stage and this role will create the templates to then hand over into BAU team.

Profile

You will be a fully CCAB qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) who has excellent Internal Controls experience and has either implemented SOX previously or has significant SOX experience.

You will have excellent technical accounting skills

You will have excellent interpersonal skill sand be able to run workshops

Job Offer

An ongoing Home based role - there will be times occasionally when you need to visit the offices in Cardiff.

Salary c £350- £450 per day via an umbrella company
