Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant plays a key role in the success of this thriving organisation.

The role of the Management Accountant (Revenue) is responsible for providing focus and developing relationships with key stakeholders across the business to maximise revenue and margin potential.
Working with the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of accurate and timely financial information including insightful recommendations for business improvement.

What you will be doing:

• Working with the Head of Finance to improve systems and processes and provide support with any changes
• Completing the reconciliation of the accrued/deferred revenue account and other revenue related balance sheets providing analysis and commentary on a monthly basis
• Creating the Monthly Revenue reporting pack distributed to Head of Finance - (Revenue, margin, under/over service)
• Ensuring compliance with audit requirements and support the year end and audit processes
• Understanding all new client contracts and the deliverables to support revenue recognition
• Adhering to the revenue recognition policy, highlighting any discrepancies to Head of Finance for direction.
• Supporting with training of new starters on the end to end job management process
• Providing monthly revenue/income re-forecasting and budgeting within the job management and forecasting system
• Reviewing and approving as appropriate all draft invoices for booking to the ledgers to ensure they comply with contract, documenting any variances on the job in Workbook
• ​Ensuring there are price quotes for all jobs, highlighting any areas of non-compliance to Head of Finance
• Ensuring Rate Cards provided by Head of Finance are updated on a quarterly basis
• Supporting on insights with relation to pipeline management
• Undertaking other ad-hoc revenue and margin analysis as and when required

Profile

The essential skills and experience you need to be successful in the role are:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar accountancy role
• Qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent or Qualified by Experience
• Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers and senior managers
• Flexible and positive work ethic
• Ability to identify process improvements and help implement them

Job Offer

A 12 - 18 month Maternity cover contract

Salary up to £45,000 per annum

hybrid working - 4 days a week from home after initial training is completed

26 days annual leave + bank holidays
