Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading health care group to recruit for a driven and dynamic Financial Accountant based in their Cheltenham, Gloucestershire office. A great opportunity joining an PE backed Group that are experiencing rapid growth offering remote/office hybrid working. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Management team to develop robust financial control infrastructure and facilitate appropriate financial management. The position is open to finance professionals from industry or practice and can offer lots of internal progression to support your accounting career.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve accounting for acquired entities under IFRS 3, including intangible asset valuations and accounting for deferred contingent consideration. You will assist in assessing/justifying assumptions used in the various valuation processes, assessing IFRS 16 leases and be a key owner of their financial system which maintains the lease information. You will prepare subsidiary financial statements under FRS 101 and FRS 102 and liaise with Deloitte Tax to complete the tax returns. You will produce various notes for the group financial statements under IFRS and be the contact person for the UK auditors.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this progressive Financial Accountant role you will have experience within a similar position, strong technical accounting skills, experience of supporting regulatory requirements and IFRS knowledge. You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with a proven ability to implement processes and systems. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, energetic and motivated, and looking to progress/develop within a fast-paced group. You will have key MS Excel skills and be used to managing workloads to meet time constraint deadlines.
