Accountancy Recruit is partnering exclusively with a manufacturing business in Ellesmere Port to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an SME that has experienced significant growth over the past 10 years with further growth forecasted. The business manufactures a niche product and enjoys long standing relationships with loyal customers. The Finance Manager will take full responsibility for the provision of all financial data, cashflow and budgets as required. The Finance Manager will ensure timely reporting, control and financial management of all aspects of the business.
The Finance Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Manage the monthly close process and production of relevant financial reports for management and shareholders.
- Manage cashflow of currency accounts, liaising with forex traders and currency forward contracts.
- Manage the finances of UK & European projects, planning budgeting/cashflows and subsequent reporting.
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts including working capital and monitor department's spend.
- Liaise with external bodies including the auditors to ensure the timely presentation of all statutory accounts as defined by relevant authorities.
- Manage all matters pertaining to HR in consultation with the external bureau, MD and relevant Department Managers.
- Responsible for payroll with external bureau, P11ds, ensure all matters relating to payroll are accurate, properly authorised and comply with all statutory requirements.
- To perform any other duties commensurate with the effective operation of the Company's activities, as required by the Management team.
- Manage a team of 5 including purchasing and IT.
To be successful in this role the Finance Manager will have the following experience:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, although QBE will be considered.
- Experience managing an accounts team.
- Excellent financial accounting & reporting skills.
- Can do attitude and able to work hands on.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation from shop floor to Shareholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
The salary advertised for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
