Finance Manager

Finance Manager job in Chester for medium sized business paying up to £50,000.


Hays Senior Finance are working with an International business who have multiple companies in the UK. The business is growing and has high end and well known products that are recognisable. Due to a restructure the business is centralising finance and reporting into their Chester office. This has created a vacancy as a Finance Manager for one of their businesses.

As Finance Manager you will take ownership of this business and be responsible for ensuring management accounts are produced and reported in a timely manner. You will directly manage a team of two and report to the Finance Director who oversees multiple businesses.

Key duties will include -

• Providing financial information to management, including sales analysis, cost analysis, variance analysis, cost accounting services for managers and departments
• Strategic business planning and budgetary preparation
• Monthly reporting in accordance with group deadlines
• Effective cash flow management and forecasting
• Day to day management of the Finance team.
• Coordinate audit and accounts preparation process in accordance with statutory deadlines and appropriate standards
• Review and maintain effective financial controls to comply with statutory requirements, audit and published GAAP
• Prepare and submit VAT and corporation tax returns
• Liaise with and support for internal and external auditors.

This is a hands on and progressive accounting role which is ideal for management accountants who want to progress to Financial Controller roles in the future. We are ideally looking for qualified applications but will consider QBE or finalist level applications with relevant experience.
