Accountancy Recruit is partnering a client in Middlewich to recruit a Finance Manager. This role would suit a Management Accountant ready to step as we are considering part qualified candidates where there would be a study support package. The Finance Manager will have an excellent mentor in the FD and will be responsible for end to end finance operations and implementing procedures and controls.

The Finance Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
  • Lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and present findings to the board.
  • Manage end-to-end audit process of current systems - while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
  • Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
  • Manage the AP ledger.
  • Manage the Credit Control function, including processing debit notes and associated returns.
  • Work alongside the Logistics & Operations Controller to provide cover and support when required.
  • Support the FD and deputise when required.

In order to be successful in this role the Finance Manager will have the following experience:

  • Part qualified/fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel and modelling experience.
  • Production of statutory accounts.
  • Ability to delegate and also oversee and manage team members.
  • Experience of AP and AR.
  • Experience running annual audit.
  • Detailed knowledge of SAGE 200 would be beneficial.

The salary advertised for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
