Financial Accountant

Farrer Barnes is currently working alongside a successful local business in aid of appointing a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will give you responsibility for supporting the month end closing processes and the provision of financial reporting adhering to various accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end closing process (posting journals, consolidations etc)
• Preparation of monthly reporting backs and their subsequent presentation
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Act as a point of liaison for internal and external auditors
• Deputise for the Finance Manager as required
• Ensure compliance with various accounting standards

Requirements:

• Must hold their professional accountancy qualification
• Knowledgeable of financial reporting standards (IFRS)
• Ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Proficient using Microsoft Excel

Due to the nature of the role, it is imperative that you have demonstrable prior experience in a similar role.
