Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be supporting a well-established business in their search for a Finance Business Partner based in the Sheffield area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic and forward-thinking department where you will be given exposure to all aspects of a finance role within an exciting, fast paced and challenging environment.

The successful candidate will be embedded in the business to provide support to management in decision-making through the analysis and provision of financial information, whilst working closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
As part of the Finance Business Partnering Team this role is key in the provision of a Finance Business Partnering service to budget holders.

Key Responsibilities:

* To provide a Business partnering service to key stakeholders
* Preparation of month end journals
* Issuing month end finance reports to budget holders, together with staffing and non-pay reports
* Arrange monthly meetings to discuss YTD variances to budget, and provide support with quarterly re-forecasts
* Development and implementation of the College capital expenditure policy
* Monitoring and Reporting of Capital and Revenue Project spend
* Producing a monthly Project spend report for all projects
* Supporting with the project expenditure request, followed by analysing spend / commitment, and preparing spend forecasts
* Ensure capital expenditure policy is applied, including deciding which spend is revenue, and which is capital
* Maintenance of asset register & depreciation calculations
* Calculating and posting depreciation each period
* Reconcile fixed asset register each month
* Producing annual depreciation budget
* Other fixed asset / projects responsibilities
* Ownership of capital grants
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliation

Key Skills & Experience Required:

* High level of professional competence and knowledge and are likely to have a degree or equivalent qualification and senior professional experience
* People management skills will be required
* Sufficient knowledge and aptitude to create new procedures and working practices and develop future strategy is required
* Knowledge of project management techniques may be needed
