Audit Assistant Manager - Top 10 Southampton

As an Audit Assistant Manager your primary responsibility will be to manage the on-site audit delivery - liaising between the Audit engagement team, and the client to ensure the assignments are delivered to a high quality and within agreed timescales.

You will take responsibility for planning, executing and finalising all areas of the audit assignment for Manager or Partner review, seeking input for areas of concern and judgement. You will take some responsibility for your own clients and portfolio, reporting directly to a Director or Partner, as well as producing work for Manager and/or Partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified. Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients and identifying new opportunities will be an essential part of your remit.

It is likely that the successful candidate will be qualified ACA/ICAS (or overseas equivalent) with experience in supervising and coaching junior members on client premises and in the office will need to have a working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements along with experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures. You will also need a working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice, and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering. Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends is also highly desirable.
