Senior Financial Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a large service sector business based in Warwick as they seek to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant on a 12 Month FTC.

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in overseeing the accounting records and their accuracy within a legal entity in a period when the Financial Controller is focusing on a major ERP system implementation.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure delivery of the complete monthly financial statements for your legal entity in the consolidation system
• Drive daily control and monitoring within all relevant accounting processes
• Ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity
• Ensure that the figures are analysed and documented according to guidelines
• Coordinate and facilitate audits for the legal entity
• Ensure compliance with internal control objectives, IFRS, local GAAP and Financial Policies and Procedures
• Support the different stakeholders throughout the entire closing process - not only within own function/organisation
• Drive/be a part of projects where legal accounting is involved and need to be represented
• General assistance of the team.

You must have good technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP to be considered for this position.
