Description

Role Purpose

To be responsible for the month and year end accounting lifecycle for the UK & Ireland, ensuring robust processes are in place to enable your team to deliver the results in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all balance sheet reconciliations and processes and own the more complex account reconciliations
  • Produce weekly and monthly MI - board packs, payroll reporting etc
  • Manage the month end process including reporting to the business partnering team
  • Manage the year end audit process acting as the main point of contact for UK&I
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting cycles, working closely with the Finance Business Partners
  • Lead improvement and understanding of financial reporting on business performance, working closely with the business to build and deliver reporting in line with their requirements
  • Deliver accurate month end close and reporting, with commentary on discrepancies
  • Deliver BAU efficiency and reporting developments, working closely with the team and wider business on ways of working
  • There will be a volume of ad-hoc projects to be involved in, lead and delegate

  • Works closely with stakeholders to build and deliver reporting in line with their requirements
  • Develops and maintains key processes

Profile

Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Technical Capabilities

  • ACCA / ACA qualified with significant PQE
  • Experienced in producing management accounts and reliable reporting
  • Excellent technical accounting ability
  • Experience of managing direct reports
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changeable, environment within a growing business
  • Excellent Excel skills (vlookup, pivot) and data modelling abilities
  • Power BI skills desirable
