Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Hull
Are you a qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with availability for a 12-month contract? A newly created opportunity has arisen with a global manufacturing organisation to assist with their financial analysis in the Supply Finance area of the business. The company has strong links with the US and although not essential, previous experience of working with international exposure would be welcome.
THE ROLE:
The purpose of the Financial Analyst role is to partner internally with the Supply Finance team members to provide accounting and financial support, and to continuously optimise, standardise, and drive efficiencies in the current financial processes
Provide support necessary for timely & accurate reporting of financial performance vs. forecast, along with an assessment of risks and upsides. Maintain effective controls for month-end, ensuring proper accruals and liabilities are recorded, and account reconciliations are done timely, including reporting in the Corporate reconciliation system, as well as appropriate documentation and execution of controls in "SOXHUB"
Assist with inventory reconciliation process with U. based CMOs, including receiving monthly reports, validating the data, reconciling the count, and investigating variances.
Partners with Demand Planning on inventory reconciliation process with 3rd Party warehouses and investigate variances, as needed.
Assist in managing of capital expenditures, preparation of monthly net book value of assets and depreciation
THE CANDIDATE:
You are a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with a minimum of around 5 years' experience in a financial/accounting environment to include experience of month end closing activity
Have the ability to compile, analyse and manipulate numerical data accurately and a proven record of delivering high quality work, ability to plan and organise to meet strict deadlines.
Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to work with an innovative approach and a strong problem-solving ability, continuously striving for improvements
You have effective interpersonal & communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams and geographic locations and have the ability to build constructive working relationships.
SAP experience is desirable although not essential.
