Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established Manufacturing/Engineering Group based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire to recruit an experienced and hands-on part-time or full-time Accounts Supervisor. Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller this is a varied role that will support in a range of accounting duties, along with additional responsibilities if wanted of supervising the finance/office team. This permanent and flexible accounting role would be more suited to a financial professional who is not precious on the duties that they get involved in and comfortable supporting others and the wider business when needed.

Your new role

Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller, duties will involve accruals and prepayments, journal processes, maintaining fixed asset register with depreciations, along with checking/reconciling control accounts. You will support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, trial balance processes, balance sheet and bank reconciliations. You will oversee and support the transactional finance team in all related purchase ledger, sales ledger, and financial administration duties. You will be involved in ad-hoc projects and financial duties to support the finance team and wider business when needed. The position will be tailored around the right finance professional and experience will be utilised.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on and permanent Accounts Supervisor position you will need experience within a similar role, used to varied and hands-on financial duties with key MS excel skills and knowledge of financial systems. You will be AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, or qualified by experience. You will be used to managing your own workloads and meeting time constraint deadlines, key communication skills to build internal/external relationships, and be a strong problem solver with initiative and key attention to detail. Experience within the manufacturing/engineering sectors along supervisory skills and knowledge of MS Navision would be advantageous, but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent part-time or full-time Accounts Supervisor role is offering a salary between £30,000 - £45,000 per annum or pro-rata, dependable on experience based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire with on-site parking.
