Financial Controller required for Multi-site Leisure business based in South Essex - good degree of Hybrid working.

The Financial Controller will provide accounting leadership and direction, and ensure numbers are reported accurately and in line with legislation. Managing a high-performing, efficient team with strong controls and processes, that work closely in line with business strategy.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting.

Prepare monthly management accounts, including consolidation management, reporting, variation analysis and commentary.

Investment appraisal and Financial planning

Manage annual audits, alongside all preparation of statutory accounts.

Weekly Cash flow monitoring and reporting

Provide business support and financial training to multiple business units to ensure they achieve their full potential and adhere to company processes and procedures.

Implement strong internal controls to ensure robust financial management.

Supervise and manage finance team members, including mentoring and team development.

Undertake project or ad-hoc work as requested by the Director of Finance

Experience/Skills and Attributes:

Qualifications

Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA).

Skills

Strong finance & accounting technical skills.

Highly IT literate

Accomplished Excel (including Pivot, V-Look Ups) and PowerPoint

Financial modelling, including ROI analysis.
